Elms Lesters
Established in 1984, Elms Lesters is a renowned art gallery in London’s west end, known for showcasing the works of counterculture and contemporary artists in its unique and historic Elms Lesters Painting Rooms building. The gallery has hosted numerous high-profile exhibitions by celebrated artists such as José Parla, Futura, KAWS, and Space Invader, among others.
I designed and developed a WordPress website to showcase the gallery’s space, publish news articles and essays, display films, and promote their exhibitions. Additionally, the gallery possessed an impressive collection of historical content from past exhibitions and shows spanning over 30 years. To manage and publish this archive, I implemented some bespoke functionality within the content management system.
I also created a Shopify e-commerce web store for the gallery to sell products, including books, prints, and other archival materials.
We worked with Joe to create a new website and e-commerce store for the gallery. He completely understood the brief, capturing the exact feel we were after, with scope for us to easily upload our large catalogue of archived exhibitions.
