Margate is a Kentish seaside resort, home to the Dreamland Amusement Park, the Turner Gallery, artist Tracy Emin, and was immortalised in the song “Margate” by Chas & Dave.

With plans for a new seafront skatepark in Cliftonville underway, and a rebuild of an existing park in nearby Westgate, the Margate Skateboard Club decided it was time to elevate their digital presence with a brand new website.

Renowned for its association with the celebrated British landscape painter JMW Turner and its breathtaking sunsets, the town also has a long-established skateboard scene, with two-time Skateboard GB champion Tay Cunningham also calling the area home.

Leaning heavily on Margate’s seaside associations, the design features waves, sunshine, sand, and, of course, the aforementioned sunsets.

The website displays news items and events from the skateboard scene in Margate and the surrounding Thanet area, as well as hosting a directory of local skateboard facilities.
